Behavioral Health

Behavioral health is a priority area in our community. Our coalition focuses on changing how our community thinks about mental health, substance misuse, and suicide. Coalition members help strengthen our community by building connections and providing education.

Goal: Prevent or reduce substance misuse among youth and adults in the City of Greenfield.

Definition of Mental Health:

According to the World Health Organization, mental health is "a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stressors of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community."

The World Health Organization (WHO) provides resources for maternal, child, and adolescent mental health as well as programs for suicide prevention.
